Building a website? You must learn to use Google Search Console.
It can be understood as:
The backend that Google shows to webmasters.
Whether your website is seen, clicked, or indexed in Google Search can all be viewed here.
It mainly helps you check 4 things:
- Whether Google has indexed your website: which pages are indexed and which are not.
- How users find you: through which keywords users see your website.
- Which pages perform well: which pages have impressions and which have clicks.
- Whether there are indexing issues: for example, why a page is not indexed, or if there are problems with Google crawling.
After a new website goes live, you can also proactively do 3 things:
- Verify the website
- Submit a sitemap
- Request indexing for the homepage
In short:
Google Search Console is not for building websites, but for seeing how your website performs in Google Search.
Without it, you won't know how Google views your website.
